Answer

GENI currently is funded mostly by individuals who have an interest in providing electricity to the 2 billion people on the planet who have none. They see this as the prime priority for our planet and want to help accelerate the process.

Our donors have expressed the desire to leverage their money to make a difference in the world. Many contribute to GENI on a monthly basis. We also have a small group of foundations who contribute annually to our work.

Our largest contributions have come from two individual donors. First, a businesswoman from Hong Kong, who's desire is for her children to grow up in a cleaner, safer and more prosperous world for all. The other is a strong supporter of the thinking and ideas of Buckminster Fuller, and he believes that the energy grid is our planet's highest priority as stated by the original World Game experts.
