BRANDIS/KÖTHEN, GERMANY, January 6, 2009. The German
juwi group has completed grid connection of its 40
MW Waldpolenz energy park in Brandis, near Leipzig
in eastern Germany.
“We’ve completed a one-of-a-kind project in which
grid connection happened even faster than we anticipated,”
comments juwi branch director, Ingo Rödner.
The photovoltaic (PV) solar power station generates
some 40 million kWh annually. It has a surface area
of more than 100 hectares and features 550,000 thin-film
modules supplied by First Solar.
As general contractor juwi directed the planning,
logistics and construction site management.
