Dear GENI
Friend,
GENI begins
the new year with new partnerships and further authenticity.
It's a pleasure to report our recent progress.
As you
know, your support has allowed us to begin work on
the GENI Computer Model . . . doing the cost/benefit
analysis of this energy scenario compared to those
of the World Energy Council (which are not sustainable).
We are fortunate to have two very committed simulation
researchers working on the project every week. The
GENI research project received the attached endorsement
of the Mission Earth Task Force of the Society for
Computer Simulation (SCS),
as well as the recent article
by the SCS Founder in last month's issue of their
magazine, Simulation .
We also
helped with a feature story in the January 1994 issue
of Mechanical Engineer , the magazine
of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Reaching thousands of M.E.'s
around the world, the title and lead line reads Connecting
the World's Electrical Grids. Transmission systems
that send bulk power over long distances are proving
that global energy networks are technically feasible
if economic and political incentives surge. (by
Michael Valenti, Associate Editor). More credibility
and global awareness.
We have
a very important year ahead. Your
support makes these results possible.
In partnership,
Peter Meisen
Executive
Director
