and Celebration Co-Sponsors
Dear GENI
Friend,
As a key
supporter of our work, I am very excited both to inform
and invite you to join us in San Diego this summer.
In honor of Buckminster Fuller, GENI is co-sponsoring
a Centennial
Symposium and Celebration on July 14-16th.
Without
the vision and genius of Bucky, the GENI project would
not exist. Our work was born from the World Game and
its purpose statement, how do we make
the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest
possible time without ecological damage or the disadvantage
to anyone? From reading Critical
Path (page 206), you'll see where Bucky
called the global energy grid the World Game's highest
priority objective. From these few words, GENI was
born ten years ago.
Few people
are ever awarded the designation of genius.
Yet Bucky said we are all born a genius we
just got damaged along the way. This event is dedicated
to helping Rediscover the GENIus in
us all .
You'll
get to play the World Game, view films about Bucky's
life and work, attend expert panels on geodesic structures,
study the generalized principals of universe as applied
to business, and enjoy a Children's Festival of ideas
shaping tomorrow's leaders.
GENI is
fortunate to have co-sponsorship
with some of San Diego's finest institutions: San
Diego Natural History Museum, National University,
Reuben H. Fleet Space Theater, Union Bank, Shapery
Enterprises and Windstar (Colorado).
Your contribution
to GENI has enabled us to tell our story to the world.
Review the enclosed event
announcement and consider bringing the whole family.
Please share it with your friends and colleagues.
I hope you can join us in this tribute to the Leonardo
daVinci of our time and to explore the
question for yourself:
If
the success or failure of this planet, and of
human beings, depended on how I am and what I
do; How would I be? What would I do?
Your partner
for the planet,
Peter Meisen
President
