Dear GENI
                            Friend,
                          We have
just returned from the 1st World
Sustainable Energy Trade Fair, and it was a heartening
expo of ideas and technologies for the coming millennium.
There is a growing cadre of companies that are making
great inroads into power production that is sustainable,
                            i.e. renewable energy.
                          That's
the good news. The challenge is that renewable energy
resources are still a small fraction of the world's
current production and that 2 billion people
(1/3 of humanity!) have no electric power at all.
That's the same population that every day walks for
firewood and water just to survive. In addition, the
                            President of EuroSolar stated, The
unhindered use of fossil and nuclear energy does have
the potential to make life on earth unbearable.
                          GENI was
honored to share the podium during the Green
                            Visionaries
panel with David Bellamy of the Conservation
Foundation, Thilo Bode, Executive Director of Greenpeace
International and Jeremy Leggett of Solar
                            Century.
A summary of this presentation stressed
the need for political change, accelerated investment
                            into renewable energy and the
necessity of a global unified strategy.
                          Your support
makes these opportunities possible for GENI to participate.
I hope you can get the flavor of the congress from
the enclosed reports. A very positive trend is seeing
companies like British Petroleum, Shell and Audi actually
developing products for the green consumer. It's happening
more and more as these multinational firms see business
                            opportunities develop around the world.
                          What you
can do is to ask your utility company and car manufacturer
to provide more renewable energy options. That will
help drive them into the marketplace more quickly.
                          I do hope
you will consider the Long Distance telephone service
offer made last month. It's an easy way to support
GENI with every call (available only in North America)
at cost-competitive rates. Just call, fax or e-mail
me and I'll have Wayne Morgan get back with
                            the details.
                          Thanks
very much for your partnership. It makes all the difference
when I'm on a stage alone to have you standing

by my side. Thank you for your commitment.

                          Sustainably
                            yours,
