Dear GENI
Friend,
Two months
ago, you received a presentation on the ideas of Buckminster
Fuller. Many responded with thanks on how valuable
these comments were in reconnecting them with their
vision of making the world a better place for everyone.
I was especially honored that Allegra Fuller Snyder,
Bucky's daughter, will include this piece on the Buckminster
Fuller Institute Web site: www.bfi.org
Another
World Forum leader has just offered his endorsement
of the GENI Initiative. Dr.
Ruud Lubbers was Prime Minister of the Netherlands
from 1982-1994, and a true statesman in Western Europe.
Presently an adjunct professor at Harvard/JFK School,
Dr. Lubbers stated:
The
GENI Initiative fits right into the more and more
interdependent world. Globalization is about a
more and more borderless world and the need to
respond globally to the needs of mankind. To preserve
our common base, the Earth, we need to join forces
to generate electricity as environmentally as
possible. This is crucial and therefore GENI deserves
support.
Today,
I offer you one of the most powerful presentations
from the last State of the World Forum -- by Mahbub
Ul Haq. Dr. Ul Haq was instrumental in creating
the Human Development Report, published annually by
the United Nations Development program. He is one
of the most humane and sincere men I have met. On
this subject, he questions just how compassionate
our society truly is. The disparity between developed
and developing worlds is extreme.
Please
share the attached presentation
by Mahbub Ul Haq. His statements offer the reality
of today's world -- and together with the Buckminster
Fuller Memorial Lecture -- the possibility of what
it could be. Please copy these to people that you
know. Help inform them.
Thank you
again for
your support. It allows us to accelerate this
initiative globally.
In partnership
for the planet,
Peter Meisen
