Answer
Why
is GENI doing this work?
The GENI Initiative has it's origins from The World
Game simulation developed by Dr. R. Buckminster
Fuller in 1969. Stated as the opposite of war games,
this investigation posed the following question:
How do we make the world work for 100%
of humanity in the shortest possible time through
spontaneous cooperation without ecological damage
or disadvantage to anyone?
This research identified a premier global strategy
– a global electric energy grid tapping abundant
renewable energy resources.
What are the reasons
that make this important for GENI?
Upon implementation, this initiative provides clean
electricity to all people around the world, and
the benefits include:
- Reduced of pollution from fossil and nuclear
fuels
- Reduced hunger and poverty
- Stabilized population growth
- Increased trade, cooperation and peace between
nations
- Increased universal living standards
- Making energy available to others
- Decreased customer costs
- Fewer interruptions (better service) due to
redundant supply paths
- Savings in electricity generation costs
- A reduction of costs required to install new
power generating plants to meet increased demand
- An extension of the life of finite non-renewable
energy resources
- Conservation of non-renewable resources for
future generations
If you ask the GENI staff why we do this work --
the answer usually includes a desire to make the world
a better place for all. We want to make a difference,
and the GENI Initiative is our trimtab to get this
result.
