Many times in the past three decades, we
would get “experts” telling us that running an economy on intermittent
renewables wasn’t possible — and there wasn’t enough land to accommodate all
the wind and solar farms to meet society’s needs. That’s a myth that’s
perpetuated by the fossil fuel industry. Today, Iceland (100%), Norway (99%),
Costa Rica (99%) and Uruguay (95%) are showing the rest of the world how it’s
done. Many other countries are committing to 100% renewable energy by 2050.

Connecting high-voltage
networks to renewable energies works across all borders and boosts economies.
Going renewable creates domestic energy, local jobs and cleaner air for
everyone.
