Request: Share this information with someone important

Dear GENI Friend,

Many times I am asked to explain the GENI Initiative in 30 seconds. My normal reply:

It's a compelling global strategy for peace and sustainable development -- the focus being the electrical interconnection of power systems between countries and continents, with an emphasis on tapping local and remote renewable energy resources. In other words, a world wide web of electricity tapping clean energy.

At the Rotary International Exhibition last month, that is sometimes all people hear before moving on. What we give them to read further must be direct and compelling. Enclosed is GENI's updated brochure, plus 6 Questions and many GENI Endorsements. Along with the Walter Cronkite letter you received last month, this is how people are introduced to the project.

In fact, the President-Elect of Rotary International is quite intrigued, and has requested further information after reading these introductory pieces. So what can you do with this information?

  1. First, identify a national or international leader in business, media or government.
  2. Get an address: either do a name search on the web, or you can find almost anyone notable in the Who's Who at the library (with their contact address listed.)
  3. Then put your own cover note to these two pieces and send it.
  4. Ask for their reply — and their endorsement!

You can help us put this strategy on the national/global agenda. You do it with your contributions— which enable us to continue this work. I invite you to send a letter to the decision-maker of your choice. You may just get the same kind of response that we received from Rotary.

In partnership for the planet,

Peter Meisen
President

p.s. GENI will be exhibiting at the World Energy Congress in Houston, Texas, Sept. 13-17. Exhibiting to the 6000 world leaders in the energy field is not cheap. So if your energy stocks have done well lately, please consider selling a few shares for the cause.
