Opportunities for small geothermal projects exist in many areas of the continent. The highest potential you find in Mexico with 8000 MW, followed by Guatemala and Nicaragua (4000 MW), Costa Rica (3500 MW), El Salavador (2000 MW), Colombia and Chile with 1500 MW, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Argentina (all with 1000 MW).
