Electricity minister: Egypt keen on supplying Palestinians with power

Egyptian Minister of Electricity Dr Hassan Yunis said Friday Egypt was keen on supporting the Palestinian people by supplying them with much needed power.

Following negotiations held Thursday night with head of the Palestinian power and natural resources authority Omar Ketana, Yunis said a new transformer would be sent to Gaza to face up to new electricity needs.

He added that they also reviewed studies being made to develop Gaza electricity grid.
