GENI Affiliates are Saving the World

Dear GENI Friend,

After a presentation on The GENI Initiative, I am often asked, What can I do — right here in my hometown? It's a fair question, as most everyone wants to help in some manner. The challenge of this project is that so many people in each nation must be educated and personally convinced that this strategy is in their best interest.

The GENI South Australia team recently demonstrated what a small committed group of people can do to make a big impact in their community. They contacted a school, made a presentation, involved the students and invited the media to cover the event. The result -- 120 students learn about global cooperation and a terrific article/photo was featured in the city newspaper -- with the headline Saving the World. Great job!

I am so proud of the GENI Affiliates (locations listed at page bottom). These volunteer teams go into the community to share this strategy of peace and sustainable development. They give time, intellect, and money -- without any expectation or personal reward. This experience from Adelaide, Australia is but one superb example of the thousands of conversations that GENI supporters have each year -- and every one counts!

You too can be a trimtab. That's where a small amount of your own time, expertise or money can have a leveraged result in the community. I've enclosed the What Can You Do? section from our newsletter to foster your own ideas. We are honored with your commitment to the work. Thank you for helping make our world a better place for all.

In partnership for the planet,

Peter Meisen
President

p.s. We just received another huge endorsement! Dr. Rustom Roy is Editor-in-Chief of the Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society. Please share it with another engineer/scientist.
