Major Endorsements for The GENI
Initiative
GENI Exhibition at Rotary International Convention
Dear GENI Friend,
The GENI Initiative received
two very exciting endorsements this month. For years,
we have attended conferences, written articles, exhibited
internationally -- all to provide a credible foundation
for the project. Your support enabled this persistence.
Thank you.
Now
you can include former United Nations Secretary General
Boutros
Boutros-Ghali as a GENI partner! You may
recall that Walter
Hickel, ex-Governor of Alaska, spoke personally
with Mr. Boutros-Ghali in 1994. In Gov. Hickel's
presentation Why
war, why not big projects? , he said we need
to actually build peace. He called the linking
of power systems to renewable energy resources to
be a premier strategy for world peace.
Another very important endorsement came in from Dr.
Rajendra Pachauri, Director of the Tata Energy
Research Institute. While he's not as well known,
Dr. Pachauri has a tremendous global reputation in
the World Energy Council. Tata is a huge conglomerate
in India -- so now we can have a stronger influence
in that region of the world.
We have some more exciting news! GENI will be
exhibiting at the Rotary
International Convention in Indianapolis (June
15-17). The Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club
(San Diego, CA) is our sponsor. 25,000 Rotarians
from 150 nations will be gathering -- almost a mini
United Nations. However, in this case the ambassadors
are business leaders from around the world who have
a commitment to improving the human condition.
In partnership for the planet,
Peter Meisen
President
p.s. Why not write
your own endorsement of The GENI Initiative,
and send it to us?
p.p.s We do require some additional funding for
the Rotary
International Exhibit (in just six weeks).
Your contribution
will have tremendous leverage, and help us cover some
extra printing and exhibit fees.
